On Hold
Our choirs and music groups are currently on hold. We look forward to the day they can resume again!
Music Ministry
Praise and worship plays an integral part of who we are as a church and we have many ways for you to worship God and use your talents.
Check out some ways to you can get involved:
The adult choir at Excelsior Covenant has a rich repertoire of music and sings an anthem during traditional worship services three times per month during the school year. Weekly Wednesday evening rehearsals are held from 6:30-7:45 pm in the sanctuary. There are also two choral celebrations for Christmas and Palm Sunday that include a few additional rehearsals. (No auditions necessary.)
Questions?
The pick-up choir sings in worships services on the last Sunday of the month.
Questions?
Handbells are a recent addition at Excelsior and provide the traditional service with special music approximately four times per year. Rehearsals are Sundays from 10:10-10:50 am in the Sanctuary. (No auditions necessary.)
Worship teams lead music in our Sunday services, and volunteers include singers and band members (guitars, bass, drums, etc.). Teams are scheduled in advance and vary each week. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings (during the school year) at 8:00 am on Sundays.
Lighthouse Kids Choir
This children’s choir is for those in 1st – 6th grades. They rehearse on Wednesday evenings (during the school year) from 5:45 – 6:25 pm, perform a Christmas musical each December and sing during four to five worship services. Any child who wants a speaking and/or musical solo will be given the opportunity, and children wear costumes associated with their roles.
Questions?
This choir is for children ages four through kindergarten. They perform in approximately two worship services and before the Lighthouse Kids Choir Christmas musical each year.
