5 When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” 6 So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.
So much can be learned in these two verses. How cool is it that Jesus knew Zacchaeus by name? He calls out to him and then asks to be a guest in his home. Jesus knows you by name and everything about you (Psalm 139). He wants you to invite him into your life today.
Zacchaeus obeyed and with no hesitation, climbed down and took Jesus into his home. More importantly, Zacchaeus was excited and happy to take Jesus to his home.
Challenge: Jesus wants you to invite him into your life today. Will you welcome him gladly? Do you have great excitement and joy to spend time with Jesus?
Prayer: Lord, thank you for personally knowing and loving me. I invite you in my life today.
